“Professor Petersen always generated a fun learning environment in which the whole class felt connected and we could all talk about our ideas without fear of being wrong.”

“This professor was amazing. She clearly knew what she was talking about and she articulated it well to the class. The coursework made sense and I really feel that I learned something from this class.”

“In all, this was an excellent class. The students seemed attentive and eager to participate. Professor Petersen was well-prepared for this lecture on gender. She was clear in her explanations, used examples throughout, and encouraged class participation. Professor Petersen also used Powerpoint and media effectively. In fact, I really appreciated how varied she was in her instructional techniques; there was a freewriting session, followed by discussion, then a lecture that was quite interactive, as it combined Powerpoint slides with bulleted points, visuals (cartoons that illustrated gender, a brief video clip, and discussion. Finally, Professor Petersen seems to have good rapport with her students, and this is aided by the fact that she knows all of her students' names.”
